As the structures of our society are rapidly changing, students too feel the impact of fake news and ever more heated debates. As a result, the City of London Freemen’s School has launched a series of inclusivity talks, which should encourage young people to discuss the issues our society is facing.
The first virtual talk took place on March 7, 2024, in which students from Freemen gave impressive pep-talks about fake news and the rise of rightwing populism in Europe. They were joined in their discussion by students from Gymnasium Penzberg and Nymphenburger Schulen in Munich. As there is much to talk about and the young people’s concerns became evident, further events are now in planning.
